I love my job
Sure I have to get up at 2 in the morning for work but by the time the sun comes up I am usually hitting the bridges on my journey to Key Largo to deliver that crazy bread : ) At least once a week I just want to pull over to enjoy yet another Beautiful Sunrise, on this day I just snapped a pic through my front window with my iphone. Not to shabby

Jan and Larry's Key Life Pie
Well we are all moved in and our house is feeling a bit more like home. It still seems a bit unbelievable that we now live in Marathon, but non the less its is true and we are here. After our "Last Night in Orlando fun" last Friday Nov 30 with the Concert and staying at Cheers till close, Our drive down was still good.
Larry drove the moving truck with the Durango on a tow and Jared and the Taz cat rode with him. Jared sung him Linkin Park songs most the way here LOL
Tammy and I lead the way, unfortunately in separate cars since I had Larry's car and she had to drive her car down for a ride home. Tammy brought Scrappy with her for me, ahhh this allowed me to drive with the top down the whole way here "Sweet : )"
Marcie and George met us here to help us unload and get settled. Wow Thank goodness. Moving our furniture and stuff into an upstairs house was a bit tricky, could not have done it with out their and Tammy's help. 1000 Thanks to the three of you. Let's not forget I was not the best of help trying to nurse the broken toe.
We got most of everything moved in on Saturday night and then got up Sunday, hung out for a little bit and then the boys finished up with the rest of the heavy stuff so we could relax the rest of the day. The girls were great help in helping me unpack the kitchen and bathrooms. We even got alot of my and Larrys room put together. Sunday night we all went out for a great dinner at Cabana Breezes at Key Colony Beach before Tammy and Jared had to head back to Orlando. This was really sad cuz, well you know, I've always had my Tammy right there. This was really the toughest good-bye. But just think, now she has a second home here in the Keys, and hopefully by this time next year ; ) OK lets not jinx it.
So anyway, Marcie and George were able to stay till Monday. Which again was really nice. We got to put the boat in Monday morning and go out on it for a couple hours. Again Thank You two a thousand times over for leaving your boat with us. We use it almost daily.
Tuesday Larry and I took a drive down the Key West to do a little shopping. They have a sears there and we wanted to check out a couple of his stores. We hit Conch Republic for lunch, and it was fantastic as always. Love their conch chowder. We went fishing after dinner down to Vaca cut, one of favorite fishing spots. Its great our place is right in the middle of vaca cut and the seven mile bridge. What is it they say about Location.
Wednesday we got up and went to meet Harold ( the guy we are buying the route from) and his brother Larry. We met for Breakfast and then went to the warehouse to take care of , business? OK so Harold and Larry's Dad came in to town that morning also, and so it kind of ended up we all just hung out all morning, it was nice getting to know them. They have some crazy stories of this place. They had me laughing all morning. Then we went and took care of business, opened our accounts at the Keys Credit Union, got a mail box stuff like that. Wednesday evening we made a pot of jambalaya and put it in tuperware and took off on the boat for sunset and then some fishing under the seven mile bridge. What a fantastic night.
Our first day of work came early Thursday morning. We met at the shop about 5:30. Harold already had his truck loaded so after showing my Larry and few things they took off and I kind of helped Lar load his truck and we were off. Lar doesn't have a ramp yet, so the loading and unloading thing is a bit diffacult with a broken friggin toe. To kicking bread racks for me.
My first day was great, wow you should see our drive BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! If I ever get tired of this, slap me...... I got to use the computer quite a bit and learned where my chain stores are and met a ton of people of which it will take me forever to remember there name. O ya, and I said "No I don't speak any spanish" about a zillion times. huh, guess I may need to learn a little.
All in all my first day was a lot of fun and went pretty quick. Then Lar told me the coolest part. We are off agin tomarrow. Right now they only work four days a week. We are off on Sunday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Yippiieeeeee.
Saturday we had a little longer day. About a 12 hour day I think, but like I told Larry last night. Dam after a 12 hour day at Universal I felt it, last night I was wound up and wanted to go out. Maybe its just still the excitement of being here, and of course ya gotta remember, the then there is the factor that The Lar doesn't let me jump in and do a lot of the big work yet, he needs to get over the good ole boy thing and let me work, I'm not just any girl. I understand the whole take care of girl thing, but dude I will be on my own in a month and I've got to be able to work into it. Although I got to admit, it is kind of nice that he always gets the doors for ya, tells me not pick stuff up, its too heavy, is worried if you got something to drink, is always wanting to know if you want anything. Kind of funny, not the world I am from. LOL Wait till he figures out what kind of world I am from, throwing cases of beer from here and there, carrying full glass racks, snapping up 8 foot table, rolling big round table and setting them up, rolling bars and cambros from here to everywhere. Dam did I really do that???? Now I push bread racks over clean waxed floors. Yippeeeee.
